HOAST here
HOAST Advertising HOAST is free and open to anyone interested in art. For advertising
purposes we divide our target audience into four groups: (1) New Yorkers who just need a good reason to hop on the subway and visit Harlem, (2) visitors from the tri-state area and art
aficionados, and (3) national and international tourists staying at Hotels, visiting NYC and are trying to see as many things as possible. In the past we have targeted these three
groups by teaming up with NYC & Co., through printed ads in the New York Times, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Time Out New York, the Village Voice, Art News, Art In America and
Gallery Guide. We also maintain extensive listings of our event on major arts and leisure websites.
Our last and equally important target group is the Harlem community. Without our community’s support, HOAST would not exist. We maintain strong ties to
the Harlem Arts Alliance, the Association of Hispanic Artists, the Catholic Museum and the Studio Museum of Harlem and many local community groups and churches. We regularly use the
community boards to involve the community, recruit volunteers, and announce our event, as well as advertise in the New Amsterdam News, Uptown Magazine and Experience-Harlem, to name
just a few. artHARLEM continuously explores new ways to bring our events to larger audiences. If your interested in working with us, please send your queries to:
