Stephanie Mulvihill I use quilting and collage to explore ideas of personal fragmentation and reconstruction, as well as to question the validity of tradition in a rapidly changing world. My most recent work draws upon my upbringing in the Catholic Church and considers our conceptions, assumptions and my own private thoughts about the prominent cultural icon of the Virgin Mary.
