My artwork is based on renderings of human anatomy and the curiosity of how this applies to subjects in everyday life. The lines of our muscles intrigue me most of all. These lines are similar to various objects in nature and everyday life, such as trees, sea life, and musical instruments, just to name a few. Focusing on detail is the key to finding a relationship between the inner and outer body. Underneath the human skin is an entire network extending beyond just a scientific view and seen more as an abstract form of art. Once we make a connection visually we can better understand life and our surroundings. This is why I try to display our insides on our outside and incorporate this idea with nature. Sometimes we have to see something to get a better idea of the unified balance of life. My preferred media is ball point pen and India ink.
