Imani Powell My work playfully speaks to the way in which the people of the African Diaspora color the urbane by allowing our vibrant culture to spill over on to the concrete. Chicken and Road (48X48, acrylic on canvas) is inspired by the curious live foul who find themselves roaming the streets of Spanish Harlem. I work in mixed media--mainly acrylic paint, found objects and collage.
