| Ethan Andrews At first there is paint and painting. From there it becomes difficult to gauge. Each painting seems to be the last one I will ever be able to make and then there is always another, and that new one tells me something I didn’t know before – another facet in a larger story. How daft to pretend to be the writer of a great and unknown tale (!) but that’s the ride and it’s been complex and satisfying so far. Inspiration comes and goes and the paintings are a stiff vehicle. Still, they offer the best betrayal of tiny truths. With luck, they do so with wit and humility.
