Clymenza Hawkins Clymenza Hawkins’ technique of photomontage led her into a series of work on paper, Chrysalis Collection, celebrating a woman’s spirit through the metaphoric power of the butterfly. It also refers to the shelter of a soul where she can rest, heal and reflect to emerge in wisdom, strength and beauty. Clymenza’s new work continues to explore transformation and renewal through myth, fairy/folk tales, music, and altered art book. It explores a woman’s independence in the realms of the underground forest. Authors of inspiration include Zora Neal Hurston, Angela Carter, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Items also available are prints, leaf chandeliers, plates and art note cards.
