Lina Puerta's work draws on numerous sources of inspiration; from pre-Columbian cultures and traditions to her own observations of Nature, the female body and social references. She works three-dimensionally, utilizing a variety of materials such as clay, fabrics, and found objects; and incorporates techniques traditionally practiced by women, such as sewing, embroidering, and crocheting.
