Jennifer Wade is an artist and an art therapist based in New York City. The NY Dept. of Cultural Affairs and Materials for the Arts recently selected a painting that is currently on view in the Center Building in Long Island City, NY. Jennifer has also exhibited her art work in New York City, Two07artgallery, NYC, Hudson View Gardens Lounge, “Under 220”, NYC, New York University, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Employee Annual Art Show and other venues. As a local artist, Jennifer was the site coordinator for “Art in the Park”, Bennett Park Site

In 2004, Jennifer completed her Master’s degree in Art Therapy at New York University. In addition to creating art, community art projects are an important part of Jennifer’s professional career. She works with children, seniors, and mentally ill homeless adults in the Arts. She believes in bringing enriching experiences to everyone through community based projects.

About the Art
Jennifer enjoys creating both two dimensional and three dimensional work. Her paintings often capture the passionate energy of New York City. Jennifer often finds inspiration in her work to come from the people of the city and New York’s unique landscape. The exploration of color and texture are an important aspect of conveying New York’s vitality. Recently, Jennifer began to explore the art of puppetry and can often be found creating original hand sculpted artistic puppets.
